Midge's Georgia Blueberry Pretzel Pie

Crust

Ingredients:
  • 1 heaping cup of pretzels, crushed into small pieces
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
Directions:  In a bowl, stir pretzels, melted butter and sugar together.  Press into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.  Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees F.  Cool.

Pie

Ingredients:
  • 1 pint Georgia blueberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch mixed with small amount of water
Directions:  Bring Georgia blueberries, water and sugar to boil.  Thicken with cornstarch mixture.  Let cool.

Cream

Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 oz.) container prepared whipped topping
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened totally
Directions:

  In bowl, mix prepared whipped topping and cream cheese.  Add to Georgia blueberry pie mixture.  Spread over pretzel crust and refrigerate overnight.

This may be used as a pie or salad.  Even though the crust contains pretzels, everyone thinks it is a nut crust.  No one believes it is actually pretzels.
