Georgia Blueberry & Sour Cream Dessert

Cake

Ingredients:
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 (21 oz.) can or fresh Georgia blueberry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup Graham cracker crumbs
Directions:Mix cake mix with pecans, Graham cracker crumbs and butter until crumbly.  Reserve 1 1/2 cups of the mixture.  Pat remaining mixture into a baking pan – 13 x 9 x 2-inch. Spoon pie filling over crust.

Georgia Blueberry Filling

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh Georgia blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
Directions:Mix together. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens.  Cool.

Topping

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions:Combine sour cream, egg and nutmeg.  Spread over Georgia blueberry filling.  Then, sprinkle with reserved cake mixture.  Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 - 50 minutes.  Cool.  Cut into squares.
