Ideas for 4th of July

on Monday, July 01, 2013.

Judah and I created some simple fruit and marshmallow kabobs that will serve as a beautiful centerpiece and a kid-friendly dessert.  It’s so simple - your kids can help. Just skewer blueberries, strawberries, and marshmallows alternating in any pattern (or non-pattern) you want.

Need ideas for the big meal?  Burgers are always a hit, but why not serve something a little more figure friendly for those who are watching their waistlines?  I made these layered spinach and blueberry summer salads in a jar in a flash!  Just serve with a little vinaigrette on the side such as the Georgia Blueberry vinaigrette here on the Georgia Blueberry site.

I’d love to hear what you’re planning!  If you’ve got a fun, simple, or delicious way to incorporate blueberries this Fourth of July, leave a comment here!
